Well, the results are in and again there have been some big marlin weighed at the Bisbee's Los Cabos Offshore Tournament. The top honors goes to Barnes Cooper aboard the Incognito with a 540 lb. Blue Marlin. Their winning Marlin was followed by Anthony Hsieh aboard Bad Company, with his 490 lb. Black Marlin. Not far behind was Rich Hamilton, aboard Bandit, with his 470 lb Black Marlin.
In the Billfish Release category, a total of 28 of the 59 total boats released marlin. The scores ranged from 100 to 700 points. The winners were first, 3-way tie at 700 each for Tenacious, Ez-Duz-It and Bull Rider. Second place was another tie at 600 points. Those boats were El Gallo and El Lobo. In third place, at 500 points, was Animal House. Total Billfish Count was 55, which consisted of 3 Black Marlin, 16 Blue Marlin, 32 Striped Marlin and 4 Sailfish.
The heaviest Tuna were a 155.0 lb. Yellowfin caught by angler, Jesus Franco, aboard the Muchacho Alegre; a 152.30 lb. Yellowfin caught by angler, Tim Burgess, aboard the Caliente (part of the Picante Sportfishing Fleet); followed by a 128.10 Yellowfin caught by angler, Miguel Kola, aboard the Marea. The total Tuna count was 11. And the Dorado count was 7, none of which qualified.
